Research On New Entries In "Modern Chinese Dictionary" (7th Edition)

The Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition),published in September 2016,has added 404 new words,which have emerged in recent years,and more accurately and comprehensively reflect the new appearance of the vocabulary in the contemporary language.These new entries also fully reflect the new changes in the modern Chinese vocabulary system.This article takes the Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition)as the research object,carries on the research to the new term.Fully show the new income of the face of the entry,and add to the existing problems of the corresponding suggestions.This article is mainly composed of the following three chapters:The first chapter is the analysis of the distribution of syllables and parts of speech of new words in Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition).From the syllable point of view,Chinese Dictionary(7th edition)Add a single syllable entry in 15,two-syllable entry 235,three-syllable entry 51,four-syllable entry 76,five-syllable entry 8,six-syllable and six-syllable entry 19.From the point of view of part of speech,the new term has 122 nouns,132 verbs,13 adjectives,one onomatopoeia,the addition of 5 categories of words,and some new entries are not labeled part of speech.This indicates that modern Chinese vocabulary is mainly double syllable,but the number of syllables is open.The number of syllables and the distribution of part of speech also reflect the change of the words in Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition),which embodies the relationship between language and society.The second chapter is the new entry source and the field analysis in the Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition),"Modern Chinese Dictionary"(7th edition)new entries from Mandarin neologisms,the old words and phrases,and the words and loanwords,and other categories,related to economic,political,science and technology,culture and education,military,sports,network media,Social livelihood and many other fields.The source of the new income and the semantic content reflects the new changes in different fields of our society in the new era,and also reflects the change of people's concern in different social periods,which provides us with an important language basis to understand the social changes more comprehensively.The third chapter is "Modern Chinese Dictionary"(7th edition)New entries existing problems and suggestions for improvement,"Modern Chinese Dictionary"(7th Edition)There are some undesirable to increase the number of unfamiliar terms,social awareness and use of high frequency of the new entry,part of the interpretation also need to weigh the entry.According to the above problems,the paper puts forward some corresponding suggestions for improvement.
