Research On The Technique Of Steve Leitch's Three Minimalist Music Works

Minimalism originated from the western modern art in the early 20 th century.The essence of its concept “less is more” was proposed by the master architect Mies Vander Rohe and then influenced arts,music,design and other fields.The minimalist music originated in the United States in the 1960 s.As one of the important representatives of contemporary minimalist music,Steve Ritchie’s works are highly iconic.This article analyzes the creative thoughts and concepts of Steve Rieck’s three works and conducts technical analysis.With inductive and musical aesthetics and philosophical thinking,it is clarified that minimalist music not only has “thin” features in the form of “coarseness”,but also excavates deep creative ideas and connotations through the simple styles and techniques of the surface and tries to use new ones.The perspective examines minimalist music.
