"Sequence music" is a modernist composing technique first created by composer Arnold Schoenberg(1874-1951)in the early 20th century, while "minimalism music" originated in the United States in the 1960s.Early representative composers are La Monte Young(1935-),Steve Reich(1936-)and so on.The goal of this paper is how to create new ideas after the collision and blending of the two concepts which are connected but deviated from each other. The author’s original work--String trio "Crescent·Fullmoon" integrates the above two composition techniques, the work is divided into the upper, middle and lower three que. This paper analyzes and expounds Crescent·Fullmoon from three aspects: cohesive pitch organization, interactive harmony language and dualistic structural thinking. In terms of pitch organization, the paper firstly focuses on the process and technique of the combination of "continuance" and theme motivation, and then studies the possibility of the combination of "modular repetition" and "grouping" of sequence. In terms of harmonic language,it mainly explores the method of "phase change" technique and segmental sequence superposition,as well as the means of harmonious integration of "sound cluster" and simple music technology. In the aspect of structural thinking,on the one hand, based on the perspective of constructive and deconstructive thinking, this paper analyzes the interwoven content of the two,on the other hand,it concretely discusses the structural force of integrating rigor and open thinking.Through the analysis and research of the above three levels, the author tries to find out the possibility and rationality of the fusion and storage between sequential music and simple music techniques,so as to provide some reference for the research of modern composition technology.
