The Musical Characteristics And Performance Of The Flute "Yunnan Folk Song"

‘Yunnan Folk Song' is a flute work written by Guanren Gu in the early 1960 s.It was premiered by the Shanghai National Orchestra and Mr.Xunfa.Yu.The creation of this work is a leading work in the national instrumental works of that time,the composer combines Western composition techniques with traditional Chinese music.meanwhile,it uses Yunnan folk songs as the material,which performs the bamboo flute's techniques of good lyric and fast changing.It fully shows the characteristics of ethnic minorities who can sing and dance well and people's love for home and praise for life.This paper will review and analyze Yunnan Folk Song from three chapters.The first two chapters focus on the analysis of Yunnan Folk songs and the conclusion of their innovations.In the third chapter,the author will sum up his own experience of learning and playing Yunnan Folk Song,and how to re-creation the Yunnan Folk songs,and then conduct a more systematic and deep analysis of the techniques,performances and styles of the flute song Yunnan Folk Song.Due to the lack of literature on "Yunnan Folk songs",The author hopes that the theory of this paper can provide inspiration and help for future performers,and also provide some theoretical support and reference for playing.
