Analyze The German Neo-Objectivism School

Neue Sachlichkeit is an artistic trend of thought that appeared in Germany after the first World War.It mainly shows the spirit of Nach-Expressionismus with German characteristics and the social state of Weimar Republic,the first democratic republic in the history of Germany.Based on the clue of German history and culture under the special historical background,this paper analyzes the painting school which has not existed for a long time,and shows the depiction and attitude to society in the artists’ works of German Weimar period after World War I.These works all reflect the different reactions of artists to the rapid change of the social state of Weimar Republic,but generally have a strong realistic criticism.This paper mainly discusses the artist’s critical spirit from arousal to how to show in painting and its continuation and influence.
