Yasujirō Ozu was the world-class film master. The famous American filmmaker DavidBovell praised,"Nobody could be more perfect than he." The German famous director WimWenders also showed the respect to Ozu,"I admire him, who is the most holy and religious inthe film history".After Ozu pass away, the research on Ozu’s films was raised first in Europe Nineteenseventies, then spread to the United States, and then in Japan with the Japanese scholars joinedself-consciously. Eventually Japan became the center of this research. Chinese scholars began toinvolve in Ozu film research in nineteen nineties, since then "Ozu films" has been the academicfocus. Rather than Ozu film scene and voice analysis in domestic scholars’ research, this papersummarizes and analysis the critical elements in Ozu’s film, as well as a large number ofexamples of horizontal comparison.This paper takes mature Ozu films with “distinctive Ozu style” as research samples after“Late Spring”, and focus on the Ozu Film Center Events "marrying a daughter", to analysis theOzu film screenwriter from the narrative motif, narrative, narrative style, narrative strategyenvironment four respects, in order to to see the art essence of Ozu screenwriter.
