| Objective: We try to establish a Traditional Chinese Medicine plan of the same treatment of different diseases and identical syndromes for the treatment of chronic urinary tract infection and chronic prostatitis for the purpose of explaining the effect of the academic viewpoint of the old Traditional Chinese medicine expert in "Obstruction is the origin of all diseases,the treatment of all the diseases is always to unblock the obstruction " in chronic urinary tract infections and chronic prostatitis.Methods: 115 patients with chronic urinary tract infection and 110 patients with chronic prostatitis were observed.After 2 weeks of acute antibacterial treatment,they were randomly divided into two groups.The western medicine group was given long-term antibacterial therapy,and the Chinese medicine group was given the decoction of Xianfufang to nourish Yang and promote Qi and clear away heat and dampness.The two groups were treated for 4 weeks per course,for 3 courses.To evaluate the clinical efficacy,long-term recurrence rate and TCM syndrome effectiveness of Xianfufang in the treatment of chronic urinary tract infection and chronic prostatitis were assessed,and the role of traditional Chinese medicine Xianfufang in improving the quality of life through SF-36 scale integration in the psychological and social functions were observed.Results: 1.The total effective rate in patients with chronic urinary tract infection and chronic prostatitis treated with Xianfufang for 12 weeks was higher than that of western medicine group(P<0.05);2.The recent recurrence rate in patients with chronic urinary tract infection and chronic prostatitis treated with Xianfufang for 12 weeks was lower than that of western medicine group(P<0.05);3.Compared with the total scores of TCM syndromes before and after treatment for patients with chronic urinary tract infection and chronic prostatitis,the TCM syndromes in the T.C.M.group were improved much better than that of the western medicine group(P<0.001,P<0.005);4.Compared with the total score of the health scale before and after treatment for patients with chronic urinary tract infection and chronic prostatitis,the health status of the Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group were significantly improved compared to that before treatment,and the scores of the Chinese medicine group were significantly higher than those of the western medicine group(P<0.001).5.After Chinese medicine treating the two diseases for 12 weeks,there was no significant difference in the effective rate,the recent recurrence rate,and the long-term recurrence rate.6.After Chinese medicine treating the two diseases for 12 weeks,the scores(pulse and tongue coating)of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.001),and the urinary sensation group was improved much better than the chronic prostatitis group(P<0.05).After Chinese medicine treating the two diseases for 12 weeks,the scores of frequent nocturia,frequent urination,urinary pain,and belly distension were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01),but there was no difference between the groups.7.The total score of after 12 weeks of Chinese medicine treatment for the two disease was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01),and the urinary sensation group was improved much better than the chronic prostatitis group(P<0.001).8.The scores of SF-36 scale after 12 weeks of Chinese medicine treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.001),and the increase in urinary sensation group was especially significant(P<0.001).Conclusion: The treatment of chronic urinary tract infection and chronic prostatitis is based on the methods of "warm" and "communication",which combined with syndrome differentiation and supplementation with clearing away heat,regulating qi,dispersing stasis,etc.It can improve patients' short-term efficacy,reduce long-term recurrence rate,relieve clinical symptoms,and improve quality of life,compared with western medicine bacteriostatic therapy. |
