The Study Of Depression And Insomnia In Traditional Chinese Medicine Physique, Eysenck Personality And Their Correlation

Objective:In traditional Chinese medicine physique science and personality psychology knowledge as the instruction,through the questionnaire investigation in patients with depression associated with insomnia,understand the constitutional type distribution,characteristic of personality type and degree of depression,insomnia,and attempts to explore the correlation among the three,so as to provide some new suggestions for the prevention and treatment of depression with insomnia from the aspects of constitution intervention and psychological counseling train of thought.Methods:According to the inclusion criteria,123 patients were selected from the Psychology Department of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of traditional Chinese medicine from April 2019 to January 2020.The general data questionnaire,Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale(PSQI),Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ-RSC),Chinese medicine constitution classification and judgment table were used.General information,depression and insomnia,constitution of traditional Chinese medicine and personality characteristics were investigated.All statistical analysis was performed by SPSS25.0 software,descriptive statistics were performed on general data,and measurement data were expressed as mean±standard(x±s)deviation.The comparison between the two groups was in accordance with normal distribution was compared by t-test.Non-normal distribution was compared by rank sum test.The counting data were expressed by frequency,and ?2 test was used for frequency comparison between two or more groups.Pearson correlation analysis was used for correlation analysis.Multivariate stepwise regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors.Results:1 Among the 123 patients with depression and insomnia,34 cases of male patients(27.64%),and 89cases of female patients(72.46%),with a male-female ratio of 1:2.62.PSQI score was positively correlated with HAMD score(P<0.01).2 The distribution frequency of TCM constitution in 123 patients with depression and insomnia was as follows:41 cases of qi depression constitution(33.33%),21 cases of qi deficiency constitution 17.07%),12 cases of yang deficiency constitution(9.76%),12 cases of ping-he constitution(9.76%),11 cases of yin deficiency constitution(8.94%),10 cases of phlegm and dampness constitution(8.13%),8 cases of blood stasis(6.50%),6 cases of damp and hot(4.88%),and 2 cases of special constitution(1.63%).The proportion of qi stagnation constitution was far higher than the national norm of 7.66%.The proportion of ping-he constitution was far lower than that of national norm 32.14%,The difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The scores of ping-he quality were negatively correlated with HAMD and PSQI(P<0.01).qi deficiency constitution,yang deficiency constitution,blood stasis constitution and qi stagnation constitution were positively correlated with HAMD(P<0.01).Yang deficiency constitution was positively correlated with PSQI(P<0.05).3 The neuroticism(N)scores of Eysenck personality in male and female patients with depression and insomnia were higher than the national norm,and the extroversion(E)scores of Eysenck personality were lower than the national norm The difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);neuroticism(N)score was positively correlated with HAMD scores(P<0.01).4 There was no correlation between psychoticism(P)of Eysenck personality and TCM constitution in patients with depression and insomnia(P>0.05).There was a positive correlation between the neuroticism(N)of Eysenck personality and the 7 biased constitution except for the special constitution(P<0.01).A negative correlation between the extroversion(E)and the 6 biased constitution except for the yang deficiency constitution and the special constitution(P<0.01).After multiple stepwise regression analysis,it was found that E=29.939+0.398 X ping-he constitution-0.214×damp-heat constitution,N=46.519+0.211 X qi depression constitution+0.117 X qi deficiency constitution.Conclusion:Depression with insomnia is more common in women,and the severity of depression is related to insomnia.The overall physical condition of depression with insomnia is poor,mainly qi stagnation constitution,qi deficiency constitution and yang deficiency constitution,and positively related to the degree of disease.Neuroticism(N)of Eysenck personality is not only the susceptible factor of depression,but also affects the severity of the disease.There is a correlation between the nine TCM constitution and neuroticism(N)and extroversion(E)in patients with depression and insomnia.
