South Korean "Saam Needle Method" And Its Academic Inheritance Research

1 ObjectivesThis research mainly uses literature analysis,inductive analysis,and other research methods to study the current status of the inheritance and development of Sa-am acupuncture method,to explore the academic influence of the successors of Sa-am acupuncture method on the development of acupuncture in the Korean peninsula,and to combine the clinical application of Sa-am acupuncture method to provide new ideas for clinical treatment of various diseases.2 SignificanceThe Sa-am acupuncture was created by a monk in the mid-Joseon period.Whose name is Sa-am taoist,Hence the acupuncture method was named the Sa-am acupuncture method.In recent years,the Sa-am acupuncture method has received much attention in South Korea’s acupuncture and moxibustion field,and it has been widely used in clinical practice,however there are not many research and summarization regarding the academic ideology of the method.The purpose of this article is to systematically summarize and organize the formation of the Sa-am acupuncture method and its inheritors’ thoughts,to expound the clinical application experiences,theoretical basis and influence of the Sa-am acupuncture method towards future generations,to sort out the development context of the Sa-am acupuncture method,and to explore its modern research Significance and academic connotation.3 MethodsThis study was conducted using literature research methods.First,based on historical books or related literature,clarify the development of the Sa-am acupuncture method.At the same time,combine with the historical background to find out the relationship between the development process of the Sa-am acupuncture method and historical evolution.Among them,taking the Joseon Dynasty period as the main stage,analyzing the history and cultural background of the Korean era of Sa-am taoists,and deepens the understanding of the forming process of the academic thought of the Sa-am acupuncture method.Secondly,by studying the works of Sa-am taoists,Mr,Zhishan,Li Zaiyuan,Zhao Shiheng,Jin Jingzu,and Cui Wentai inherited the existing works of medical doctors and other related literatures,using the principles of treatment,rule,and treatment methods,acupuncture prescriptions,and application methods are used as indicators to analyze and elaborate the academic characteristics of the Sa-am acupuncture method in detail,and to improve the academic thinking on the formation and development of the Sa-am acupuncture method.Understand the important role played by the inheritance and development of the Sa-am acupuncture method in the Korean peninsula acupuncture community,and further show that the inheritance and development of the Sa-am acupuncture method has contributed to the development of acupuncture in the Korean peninsula.4 Results(1)The Sa-am acupuncture method was based on the theory of five elements and the syndrome differentiation of zang-fu viscera.This acupuncture method is based on the theory of Nanjing’s the theory of five elements’ mutual generation and mutual restriction,influenced by the acupuncture thoughts of Xu Jun’s Dongyibaojian(the syndrome differentiation of zang-fu viscera and the five shu points acupuncture therapy)and Xu Ren’s Zhenjiujingyanfang(self meridians reinforcing-reducing method and other meridians reinforcing-reducing method),which appeared in the mid-Joseon period.(2)The Sa-am acupuncture method is the basic principle to treat the virtual reality of the viscera by means of the five elements’s promoting and constraining mutually relation between the Zang and Fu and the principle of the treatment of the Zang and Fu’s deficiency and excess,which is based on the principle of the Zheng-ge(the concrete principle is reinforcing mother viscera’s meridian and restrain oneselfself viscera’s meridian)and the Sheng-ge(the concrete principle is reinforcing oneselfself viscera’s meridian and restrain mother viscera’s meridian).(3)The Sa-am acupuncture method was founded from the end of the Joseon Dynasty period,the period of Japanese colonial rule to the present,through the inheritance of researchers such as Mr.Zhishan,Li Zaiyuan,and Zhao Shiheng,his specific theoretical system has been established,and clinical application methods have been organized.(4)Recently,through clinicians such as Jin Jingzu and Cui Wentai,a new assistant diagnosis method was proposed,and clinical studies of post-stroke diseases,Huobing,and back pain were conducted.(5)The Sa-am acupuncture method has contributed greatly to the root of the Korean peninsula’s inherent thought of acupuncture and moxibustion based on the theory of five elements and the syndrome differentiation of zang-fu viscera.At the same time,The Sa-am acupuncture method has become the mainstream acupuncture method of Korean traditional medicine over time,and has been advancing through integration with other medical theories such as Korean traditional or western medicine.5 ConclusionThis paper analyzes the formation and development of the Sa-am acupuncture method,and found that from the mid-Joseon period to the present day,the Sa-am acupuncture method has been established by many medical experts.Through the study of many medical experts,the Sa-am acupuncture method has the establishment of a positive and singular theory system,the comparison of pulse diagnosis and the establishment of the internal organ theory,a new application of the auspicious acupuncture method such as palpation and the addition and subtraction of experience points,and the inheritance and development of clinical research.This inheritance and development of the Sa-am acupuncture method has brought a lot of academic and clinical influences to the Korean peninsula acupuncture,and it will also have a positive impact on the globalization of acupuncture in the future.Therefore,for the Korean peninsula acupuncture,it is necessary to carry out continuous research on the inheritance and development of the Sa-am acupuncture method.
