Purpose:To explore the clinical efficacy of different acupuncture frequencies for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. Methods: Seventy patients who met the criteria for the diagnosis and inclusion of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were divided into treatment group 1 and treatment group 2 using random number table method. The main acupuncture points for treatment group 1 is Jiaji points(the bilateral Jiaji points of the cervical spine of the upper and lower segments are taken as the center of the lesion segment);acupoints: Shoulder pain and discomfort need acupuncture at Fengchi(Double)and Jianzhen;acupuncture of upper limb with acupuncture at Quchi and Shousanli;finger numbness with acupuncture at Waiguan and Zhongzhu,,acupuncture once every other day, four times a week(Monday,Wednesday,Friday, and Sunday),half a month as a course,a total of 2 courses. The acupuncture points and operations of the group 2 was the same as those of the group 1.The acupuncture frequency was changed to acupuncture once a day(from Monday to Friday, rest on Saturday and Sunday),half a month as a course,a total of 2 courses.Patients were scored before the treatment, after the end of first course, and after the end of the second course using the Tanaka Yasushi Cervical Spondylosis Symptom Scale and Mc Gill Pain Questionnaire.Statistical software SPSS 24.0 was used for statistical analysis of the collected data. Results: In treatment group 1,35 patients were enrolled, with 3 cases of shedding, and 32 cases remained;in treatment group 2,35 patients were enrolled, with 2 cases of shedding, and 33 cases remained. There were no significant differences between the two groups of patients in terms of gender, age, course of disease,Tanaka Yasuhisa cervical spondylosis symptom scale score, and Mc Gill pain scale score, which were comparable. After two courses of treatment in the two groups,Tanaka's symptom score and Mc Gill pain scale score were compared with those before treatment,P <0.05,the differences were statistically significant, indicating that acupuncture was effective in both groups. After the end of the first course of treatment, compared with the Tanaka Yasuhisa symptom score and Mc Gill pain scale score of the two groups, the difference was statistically significant, the efficacy of group 2 is better than that of group 1.After the end of the second course of treatment, compared with the Tanaka Yasuhisa symptom score and the Mc Gill pain scale score of the two groups,P ? 0.05,there was no significant difference, and the two groups had comparable efficacy. Conclusions: 1.Daily acupuncture and the next acupuncture can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.2.After the first half month of treatment, the effect of daily acupuncture is better than that of the next day,and after one month of treatment, the effect of daily acupuncture is equivalent to that of the next day.
