Research On The Application Of Art Therapy In Children With Leukemia

Leukemia is the top three malignant tumor disease in childhood.With the continuous improvement of cure rate,it is especially important to pay attention to the mental health of this group.This study summarizes the advantages and characteristics of the application of medical art therapy,and through the artistic intervention of leukemia children at three different stages of hospitalization,transplantation and early rehabilitation,thus comprehensively demonstrating the effectiveness of art therapy in children with leukemia.The study found that for leukemia children during hospitalization,art therapy can help them visually express psychologically threatening events and feelings,and play games with the treatment process through positive imagination,creative transformation,symbolic expression,etc.To improve the ability to cope with the disease and ease the negative emotions brought by treatment.For children with leukemia during transplantation,art is both a treatment and a tool for assessing the state of mind and body.For the rehabilitation leukemia children with good physical and mental recovery,active expression and sharing in group art therapy can improve their self-esteem level,transform their disease experience,promote mental development and language expression,and depress and Social anxiety also has a certain relief effect.In addition,the earlier psychological intervention for children with leukemia,the smaller negative impact of the disease and hospitalization experience on their future emotions and behaviors.
