1.Objective:Osteoarthritis(OA)is a common multi-factor degenerative disease, which is one of the main causes of skeletal muscle pain and motor ability disorders.Knee joint is the most common site of Osteoarthritis,so knee Osteoarthritis is the most common clinical Osteoarthritis.Although knee OA is not life-threatening,it has a great impact on human quality of life and national economic situation. At present, the pathogenesis of knee OA has not been fully clarified.Studies have found that there is a certain relationship between myofascial pain syndrome and knee OA,so it is of great significance to discuss the myofascial pain syndrome in patients with knee OA.This study aims to study the demographic, clinical and myofascial pain syndrome of patients with knee OA of different genders and ages through the assessment of skeletal muscle in patients with knee OA.2.Methods:Selection of 48 patients with knee OA as the research object, the subjects were divided into young and middle-aged groups according to age, detection and subjects related to the five myofascial pain chain(superficial back line, the superficial front, side, back the front line, line)in the prevalence of myofascial trigger point, measured the subjects' height, weight, heart rate, blood pressure,WOMAC osteoarthritis index, numeric pain rating scale, and physical function(test)seat stand test.3.Results:(1)A comparative study between the young male group and the young female group found that:(1)In terms of demographic characteristics, there were significant differences in the height and weight of patients with knee OA between the two groups(p<0.05).(2)In terms of clinical characteristics, there was no significant difference between the two groups in patients with knee OA(p>0.05).(2)A comparative study between middle-aged men and middle-aged women found that:(1)In terms of demographic characteristics, there were significant differences in the height and weight of patients with knee OA between the two groups(p<0.05).(2)In terms of clinical characteristics, there was a significant difference between the two groups in TUG,WOMAC body function and WOMAC total value(p<0.05).(3)A comparative study between the youth group and the middle-aged group found that:(1)In terms of demographic characteristics, there was no significant difference(p>0.05).(2)There was no significant difference in clinical characteristics(p>0.05).(4)In terms of the study of myofascial pain syndrome between the young male group and the young female group, there was no statistical significance in the number and distribution of active trigger points and hidden trigger points between the young male group and the young female group(P > 0.05).(5)In terms of the study on myofascial pain syndrome between the middle-aged male group and the middle-aged female group, there were statistically significant differences in the number and distribution of active trigger points and hidden trigger points between the middle-aged group and the middle-aged group in the AMTrPs of the tibial anterior muscle, the rectus femoris AMTrPs,and the vastus internus AMTrPs(P<0.05).(6)In terms of the study on myofascial pain syndrome between the youth group and the middle-aged group, there were significant differences in the number and distribution of active trigger points and recessive trigger points in the biceps femoris LMTrPs between the two groups(p<0.05),but no significant differences in other skeletal muscles(p>0.05).(7)In the five human fascia chains of superficial topline, superficial front line, lateral body line, anterior functional line and dorsal functional line related to the pain of patients with knee OA,the superficial front line has the most MTrPs and is the fascial chain with the highest prevalence of patients with knee OA.4.Conclusion:(1)Pain in patients with knee OA is related to myofascial pain syndrome and is affected by gender and age. After the age of 45,the difference between the degree of pain in patients with knee OA and myofascial pain syndrome increases with the age.(2)The demographic and clinical characteristics of patients with knee OA are influenced by gender, the relationship with age needs further discussion.
