Human capital is one of the main driving forces for economic growth. The accumulation of human capital has created conditions for economic growth, making technological innovation and application possible, and an important driving factor for rapid economic growth. The study pointed out that the highest return on investment in human capital occurs in the "1000 days of life",that is,from the time of pregnancy to the age of 2 years after birth. In view of this, many international organizations include the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. The United Nations and the World Health Organization have already promoted the early development of infants and young children as a policy goal.Among the many factors affecting the early development of infants and young children, the mental health status of infant and child guardians is one of the most critical factors.Unfortunately, the mental health problems of infant and child guardians around the world are more common. As a result, many underdeveloped countries, including Jamaica,Colombia,Bangladesh,Zambia,Pakistan,Vietnam and China, have initiated interventions for early childhood development.Early intervention measures for infants and young children, originally used to promote early development of infants and young children, have been considered as potential ways to improve the mental health of infant and child guardians in recent years.Child interventions can reduce the burden of infant and young child care by improving the parenting skills of infant and child guardians and providing free toys, baby pictures and game space. Some early childhood development interventions also include interviews in home visits,problem-solving activities, and group meetings consisting of caregivers and infant guardians, where infant guardians can share their experiences in infant care These activities may also increase the mental health of infant and child guardians by providing additional emotional support to infant and child guardians. At present, whether early intervention interventions for infants and young children can improve the mental health of infants and young children has not yet formed a unified research conclusion. As an important early childhood intervention method, the Early Childhood Development Activity Center lacks relevant research on the possible impact of child care mental health. In view of this,it is of great significance to study how the Center for Early Childhood Development Activities affects the mental health of infant and child guardians. The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of early childhood development activity centers in rural areas on mental health levels of infant caregivers, including depression, anxiety and stress levels. To achieve this goal, this study conducted a randomized intervention experiment in rural areas of northwest China. The experiment randomly selected 50 administrative villages randomly selected from three municipalities in a certain province in the western region as the intervention group, and the remaining 50 were set as the control group.A unified early childhood development activity center has been established in each village within the intervention group.By analyzing the mental health of the child care guards in the intervention group and the control group one year after the intervention,an unbiased estimate of the impact of the early childhood development activity center on the mental health of the guardian was obtained. The results of the study show that,in general, the early childhood development activity center has no influence on the mental health of the guardian.By reviewing existing literature, the study found that early childhood development activity centers lacked effective interventions for guardian mental health levels may lack targeted interventions.Specifically, merely providing guardians with opportunities to seek social emotional support may not be sufficient to improve their mental health problems.Interventions should include targeted interventions, such as organizing small-scale group activities to encourage guardians to talk to other guardians about difficulties and frustrations in their lives to provide emotional support.
