Objective: To observe the vertical and horizontal acupuncture treatment of cold type vertical facial paralysis clinical curative effect, compared with ordinary acupuncture method, analysis before and after treatment the patient's symptoms and facial disability index(including body physiology function and social life function two parts)score changes, comparing the clinical curative effect of two methods to treat cold type of facial paralysis,to provide the new treatment idea and basis for the clinical treatment of facial paralysis.Method: The 60 patients meeting the criteria were randomly divided into the observation group(vertical and horizontal acupuncture treatment group)and the control group(ordinary acupuncture treatment group),there were 30 cases in each group. After 3 courses of treatment, the Sunnybrook(Toronto)facial nerve function score, somatic physiological function(FDIP)score, social life function(FDIS)score and adverse event score before and after treatment were recorded, and the total effective rate were compared.Results:1.Comparison of facial nerve function scores of Sunnybrook(Toronto): after treatment, the scores of Sunnybrook in the two groups were significantly higher than before(P<0.01),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).2.Comparison of physiological function score(FDIP): after treatment, the score of physical function in the two groups was significantly higher than that before(P<0.01),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).3.Comparison of social life function(FDIS): after treatment, socialfunction score of the two groups was significantly lower than before(P<0.01),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of overall clinical efficacy: there was a statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P <0.05),indicating that the treatment effect of vertical and horizontal acupuncture on cold facial paralysis was better than that of ordinary acupuncture, and the treatment course could be shortened.5.Comparison of incidence of adverse reactions: there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05),and the safety level of the vertical and horizontal acupuncture group was similar to that of the ordinary acupuncture group.Conclusion:1.Vertical and horizontal acupuncture group has a good effect in treating cold facial paralysis.2.The vertical and horizontal acupuncture method uses fewer needles, has a good curative effect, and can shorten the course of treatment. It has certain promotion and application value in the clinical treatment of cold peripheral facial paralysis.
