A Study On The Relationship Between Syndrome Differentiation And Treatment In Eastern Medicine And Syndrome Differentiation And Treatment In TCM

Purpose: This research compares the philosophical backgrounds and theoretical system of differentiations and treatments of symptoms and signs in Eastern medicine with that of differentiations and treatment of symptoms and signs in traditional Chinese medicine.These find out the similarities between the theoretical constructions of traditional Chinese medicine and Eastern medicine.These draw the principles and rules of diagnosis and treatment of diseases between the two kinds of medicine,and to clarify the relationship between differentiations and treatments of symptoms and signs in traditional Chinese medicine and that of Eastern medicine.Material methods: Using the methods of historiography,logic and philology,the books and documents related to Li Jima’s Sasang constitutional medicine were collated.The origin,connotation,a mode of thinking and conceptual connotation of differentiations and treatments of symptoms and signs in traditional Chinese medicine were compared.Conclusion: The philosophical background and theoretical framework of Li Jima’s Sasang constitutional medicine have been sorted out and analyzed.The Yin-Yang,internal organs,Four-Jiao,Four-Seas,Four-Images,Human Theory and Etiology in the treatment of syndrome differentiation are compared and analyzed with Yin-Yang,internal organs,three-jiao,Energy-blood-body fluid.Physique Theory and Etiology theory in TCM theory clarify the similarities and differences and origins of the two theoretical systems.Emphasis is laid on the comparison of the eight representative syndromes,internal organs syndromes,the three-jiao syndromes,Energy-blood-body fluid syndromes and syndrome differentiations in TCM syndrome differentiations and treatment,and the similarities and differences between the two are analyzed,and the relationship between them is summarized.1.For identifying and differentiating the symptoms and signs are both based on the philosophical background of Chinese Confucianism,and the "image thinking" in the Book of Changes is the philosophical basis of the Four-Image theory of human beings in Eastern Medicine.2.Although Sasang typology absorbs a large number of TCM theories,it emphasizes that the four-dimensional and Sasang typology are different from the five elements and viscera theory of TCM.Its content is limited compared with TCM.3.The theory of Sasang typology tends to be the core of the theory of physique,and the names of dirty bureaus of Tae-Eum type,Tae-Yang type,So-Yang type and So-Eum type.The theory of Sasang typology is mainly borrowed from the Book of Changes.Comparing Huangdi Neijing with Shoushibaoyuan of Dongyi,it is found that the shape,temperament and treatment of Tae-Eum type Yin-yang people are similar,and they are treated separately.Different points,Sasang typology’s theory of human nature puts forward that human’s congenital constitution is immutable,and the corresponding medicinal materials should be selected according to the constitution;the syndrome differentiation and treatment points out that constitution can be changed through the acquired recuperation,and the medicines should be selected according to the illness.4.Comparing the treatment based on differentiation of symptoms and signs with the treatment based on differentiation of symptoms and signs.It is found that the four main points in differentiation of symptoms and signs indicate the location of viscera.The three main points in differentiation of symptoms and signs can not only locate viscera,but also be one of the six internal organs,which express some functions of human body and have a more hierarchical sense of the scope of differentiation of symptoms and signs.5.The differentiation of symptoms and signs in Eastern Medicine mainly emphasizes the differentiation of "figuration" and pays attention to the innate physical constitution of the human body,which is limited in content.The differentiation and treatment of symptoms and signs in TCM emphasizes the differentiation of "syndrome",and pays attention to the identification of the external appearance of the human body at the time of its beginning which is relatively broad in content.The theory of TCM differentiation of symptoms and signs give people to guide in the emergence of the theory of differentiation of symptoms and signs.
