Clinical Observation Of Xinshentongzhuyu Mixture In The Recovery Period Of Artificial Femoral Head Replacement

Purpose:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Xinshentong Zhuyu Mixture on blood stasis syndrome in elderly patients(? 76 years old)after artificial femoral head replacement.Material and method:Sixty elderly patients with artificial femoral head replacement were selected from the Department of Orthopedics,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2015 to October 2017.All cases were randomly divided into observation group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases).All cases were replaced with artificial femoral head by the same group of doctors,and received routine anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant treatment after operation.All the patients were diagnosed by TCM when the drainage tube was pulled out and the knife edge began to heal without oozing blood.The patients in the observation group were treated by TCM,and the patients in the observation group were given Xinshentong Zhuyu mixture(30-50 ml at a time,oral twice a day).The course of treatment lasted for 6 weeks.The postoperative pain(VAS score),hip function(Harris score)and quality of life(WHO QOL-BREF scale)were observed and compared between the two groups before,2 weeks and 6 weeks after treatment.Results:1.before treatment: there was no significant difference in VAS score and Harris score between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Two weeks after taking the medicine,the pain in the operation area of the observation group was lighter than that of the control group,and the VAS score of the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05);there was no significant difference in Harris score between the two groups(P > 0.05).3.after 6 weeks,the pain in the observation group was lighter than that in the control group.The hip joint function of the observation group was better than that of the control group.The VAS scores and Harris scores of the two groups were statistically different(P<0.05).The quality of life of the observation group was better than that of the control group.The total score of the WHO QOL-BREF scale and the scores of physiology,psychology andenvironment were significantly different between the two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion:After artificial femoral head replacement,the application of Xinshentong Zhuyu Mixture in the treatment of blood stasis syndrome in elderly patients with femoral neck fracture has the advantages of reducing postoperative pain,speeding up the recovery of joint function,and can improve the quality of life of elderly patients after surgery.This method is aimed at the common physique of the elderly patients after operation,and the patients' satisfaction is high,which is worth promoting in clinic.
