Interaction Design Research For The Hearing Impaired

The development of information technology has had a great impact on people's lives.The special populations in China are also experiencing changes in technological development.Interactive design is of great significance for improving the quality of life and integrating into social life.In this paper,hearing-impaired people are taken as the research objects,and their pain points and needs in life are found through literature reading,case finding,questionnaire investigation,design practice and other methods,and methods of interactive design research for such groups are found.According to the physiological,psychological and difference characteristics of hearing impaired people,the interactive design features of perceptibility,privacy and security,ease of use and accuracy can be summarized.The article also proposes the method of interactive design for people with hearing impairment,including visual and tactile transformation of auditory information,creation of user mental models and scene applicability.The content of the study is mainly reflected in the following aspects: to make up for hearing and language barriers of hearing impaired people,to try various possibilities in interactive design,to realize barrier-free communication between them and ordinary people,and to bring emotional care while meeting functional needs.According to the results of the questionnaire surveys,the social phenomenon of “difficulty of getting medical service”is a tough problem to be solved urgently for the hearing impaired.Therefore,the practical content of this study is to design a mobile medical application for medical treatment of the hearing impaired.The application emphasizes the medical communication function by highlighting visual information and assists patients and doctors in communication.Providing users with some digital medical services to improve the visiting experience of the hearing impaired.I hope that the design thinking and display design process and results proposed in the paper can provide reference for designers to design and practice activities for the hearing impaired and other special groups.
