With the continuous development of Internet technologies,mobile learning has become a popular way of learning nowadays,which provides a new opportunity for the popularization of auditory comprehension training for hearing-impaired students,as the learning mode has no time limit and offers open environment.However,the attention of hearing-impaired students is easy to be stimulated but difficult to be maintained,which leads to the instability of their self-learning and restricts the function of mobile learning in the field of aural rehabilitation.Researches shows that stimulating the learning motivation of hearing-impaired students can promote the occurrence and maintenance of their learning behaviors,and facilitate the smooth development of their self-learning activities.Therefore,based on the ARCS motivation model,a mobile app of auditory training from the perspective of motivation stimulation was designed and carried out in the study,in order to improve the motivation of autonomous training of hearing-impaired students and lay a foundation for the mobile training effect.First of all,the literature research method was used to review auditory training software,learning motivation of hearing-impaired students and the ARCS model at home and abroad;to analyze the relationship among them;and to explore the rationality and value of the design of the mobile app for auditory comprehension training based on the ARCS model.Secondly,the questionnaire method was employed to investigate hearing-impaired students' motivation of using the app for auditory training;to analyze the software design elements that affect the using motivation;and to set up the motivation stimulation principles and strategies of the auditory comprehension training app based on the ARCS model.On this basis,the motivational stimulation principles and strategies were applied to the content,interface,interaction and functional support design of APP,so as to optimize the design of an auditory training APP.Finally,the experimental method was used to verify the effectiveness of ARCS-based training resources of auditory comprehension ability in motivation stimulation and improvement of auditory comprehension ability.The results showed that the app designed based on the ARCS model can stimulate the motivation and attract the interest in the autonomous training of hearing-impaired students.At the same time,the results verified the effectiveness of the app in improving the ability of auditory comprehension.This study attempted to apply the ARCS motivation model to the optimal design of the mobile auditory training app,sort out the app design strategies that stimulate the learning motivation of hearing-impaired students,and analyze the design and implementation process of the app in a complete way through practical cases,in a hope to provide some reference for the follow-up design of mobile resources for hearing-impaired students.
