Summary Of Kou Qiuai's Experience In Treating Female Active Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective:Professor Kou Qiu-ai take the point of view on the basis of female physiological existing Qi and blood deficiency as a breakthrough,combine the treatment method of active RA.The Xiaoyan Zhitong Decoction was the combination of Simiao Yongan Decoction and Siwu Decoction.This clinical trial is to study observation,evaluate the efficacy and safety of treatment method practice by Prof.Kou.In the end,summarize the clinical experience of Prof.Kou,as well as the personal experience.Methods:This trial select thirty female patients in standard active RA,and TCM syndrome of "Toxic Heat Accumulation and Qi stagnation blood stasis".The subjects receiving Xiaoyan Zhitong Decoction,all were treated for 3 months,and observation time set for the first visit of outpatient,coming with the fourth,eighth and twelfth week.To evaluate treatment before and after in subjects with clinical symptoms,such as joint pain score,joint swelling score,partial joint heat score,partial joint redness score,joint flexion score,joint tenderness score,joint morning stiffness score,duration of joint morning stiffness,visual analogue scale,15 meter walk test,hand grip strength test,erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),rheumatoid factor(RF),C-reactive Protein(CRP),immunoglobulin values and side effects.Results:1 out of 30 cases occurred in clinical control(3.34%),9 cases in significant effective(30%),15 cases in effective(50%),5 cases in ineffective(16.66%),with a total efficacy rate of 83.34%.6 out of 30 cases occurred in joint function ? class(20%),18 cases in? class(60%),6 cases in ? class(20%),and 0 case in ? class(0%).After 3 months of treatment.the clinical symptoms appeared to be an improvement,such as joint pain score,joint swelling score,partial joint heat score,partial joint redness score,joint flexion score,joint tenderness score Joint morning stiffness score,duration of joint morning stiffness,visual analogue scale and hand grip strength test(P<0.05).For the laboratory tests,such as ESR,RF,CRP and IgM had a significantly decrease(P<0.05).Without happen any adverse event,the safety evaluation is first class.Conclusions:As the result shown,this clinical trial of Chinese medicine Xiaoyan Zhitong Decoction treatment for the female in active RA was effective.Thus,it was safety and shown a good clinical compliance,moreover without side effects.To sum up,it shown a good results of treatment.
