Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Female Rheumatoid Arthritis With Ersi Decoction

Rheumatoid arthritis is a refractory disease.Its etiology and pathogenes are not clear,so there is no effective method to cure.Epidemiological studies have shown that the prevalence of the disease is about three times higher in women than in men,and the severity of the disease is prolonged in women.This article mainly studies the clinical effect and safety of Ersi Decoction in the treatment of female rheumatoid arthritis from the angle of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).The full text includes two parts.The first is a literature review which mainly includes the research progress of rheumatoid arthritis in western medicine and TCM.The study of rheumatoid arthritis in TCM and western medicine and their understanding of rheumatoid arthritis in women are introduced.The second is clinical study.Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of Ersi Decoction in the treatment of female rheumatoid arthritis.Methods:30 female patients with rheumatoid arthritis are randomly divided into a experimental group and a control group.The experimental group takes Ersi Decoction orally for 200ml,twice a day.Control group is given 200mg hydroxychloroquine sulfate,2 times a day.The experimental period is 4 weeks.DAS28 score and TCM syndrome efficacy are used as the evaluation criteria.This trial observes the changes of serum sedimentation,rheumatoid factors,and high sensitivity c-reactive protein,and whether there are any adverse reactions during the treatment.At the same time,the sex hormone levels of the subjects are detected before enrollment to observe whether their sex hormone levels are in the normal range.Result:(1)DAS28 score:After treatment,there is a statistical difference in DAS28 score between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.05).There is a statistical difference before and after treatment in the experimental group(P<0.01),and no statistical difference in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).(2)Curative effect of TCM syndrome:After treatment,the total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the experimental group is 53.33%,and that in the control group is 13.33%.There is a statistical difference in the total effective rate of TCM syndromes between the two groups(P?0.05).The TCM syndrome score of both the experimental group and the control group decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the TCM syndrome score of the experimental group decreases significantly(P<0.05).(3)Serological indicator:After treatment,there is a statistically significant difference in HsCRP between the two groups compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and no significant difference in RF and ESR(P>0.05),The difference of HsCRP and ESR before and after treatment in the experimental group is statistically significant(P<0.05),while RF is not statistically significant(P>0.05).There is no statistically significant difference between HsCRP,RF and ESR in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).The results of six endocrine tests(estrogen,progesterone,testosterone,prolactin,luteinizing hormone,and follicle-stimulating hormone)of 30 patients before treatment show that the testosterone levels of 4 patients is lower than normal,and the rest are normal.(4)Main signs and symptoms:The scores of pain VAS and local TCM syndromes(pain and swelling)in the experimental group are statistically significant(P<0.05).The pain score and local TCM syndrome score(pain,swelling,local fever,tenderness,morning stiffness)in the experimental group are statistically different(p<0.05);before and after treatment,the local TCM syndrome score(pain)of the joints in the control group is statistically significant(p<0.05).(5)Security analysis:During the treatment,the two groups of subjects do not see obvious adverse reactions,and the safety is good.Conclusion:Ersi Decoction can improve the symptoms such as joint pain and swelling in women with rheumatoid arthritis,reduce the activity of the disease,and at the same time reduce the level of inflammatory factors such as rheumatoid factors and erythrocyte sedimentation rate.Ersi Decoction has a certain role in controlling inflammation.No obvious adverse reaction during medication.However,the sample size of this study is small,so it is necessary to expand the sample size in the later research.
