Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture on soothing liver and promoting gallbladder in the treatment of insomnia with anxiety. Methods:Sixty insomniacs with anxiety were randomly divided into Shugan Lidan group(group A),routine acupuncture group(group B)and estazolam group(group C).Each group had 20 patients, treated once a day,10 times a course of treatment,a total of two courses of treatment. Each patient was assessed by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)before treatment,1 course after treatment,1 month after treatment and 1 month after treatment. Before and after treatment,Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)was used to assess anxiety status. After treatment, clinical efficacy was evaluated, and then the data were statistically analyzed.Results:1.PSQI score: After one course of treatment, the PSQI scores of the three groups decreased, with statistical significance(P< 0.01);the scores of group C decreased more than those of group A and B,with statistical significance(P< 0.05),while there was no significant difference between group A and group B(P> 0.05).After two courses of treatment, the PSQI scores of group A and group B decreased further than those of group A and group B(P< 0.01),while the scores of group C were similar to those of group 1,with no significant difference(P> 0.05);the scores of group A and group B had no significant difference(P> 0.05).One month follow-up after treatment showed that the PSQI scores of group A and group B were comparable to those of the previous group, with no significant difference(P> 0.05),while the scores of group C were significantly higher(P<0.01).2.HAMA score: After treatment, the HAMA score of the three groups decreased, with statistical significance(P< 0.01 or P< 0.05);compared with B and C groups, group A decreased more, with statistical significance(P< 0.01),while group B and C had no statistical significance(P> 0.05).3.The total effective rates of group A,group B and group C were 90%,70% and 65% respectively.Group A was superior to group B and group C with statistical significance(P< 0.05);group B and group C had no statistical significance(P> 0.05);the obvious rates were 55%,40% and 35% respectively. There was significant difference between the three groups(P< 0.01).Conclusion:Acupuncture Shugan Lidan can improve sleep quality quickly in the treatment of insomnia accompanied by anxiety. With the prolongation of the course of treatment, the curative effect is further improved, and the curative effect is relatively stable. At the same time, acupuncture Shugan Lidan can also help to improve the anxiety state of patients. The comprehensive curative effect is more significant than conventional acupuncture and oral eszolam treatment, which is worthy of further study and application.
