Objective Based on the Omaha system, this study explores the application of the theoretical framework of the Omaha system in the quality of life of postoperative patients with pituitary tumors.Design a targeted nursing intervention program for patients with pituitary tumors, and then analysis the effect of the use of the program in patients with pituitary tumors. Methods According to the Omaha theoretical framework, the questionnaires for postoperative patients with pituitary adenoma were designed.During the period of 2016.6-2017.4,80 patients with pituitary tumors were treated with Omaha problem system for information collection-Targeted nursing guidance was given to the outcome score ? 3 points. In order to increase patient compliance, combined with patient review time, patients were treated. After the month and three months, the staged re-evaluation will be given and the continuous nursing intervention will be implemented.SPSS 13.0 software was used to compare the nursing outcomes of more than 50%of patients with cognitive outcomes, behaviors and status in different periods. Results The problem of patient care after discharge mainly involved five aspects of the three fields of physiology, psychology and health, mainly reflected in:breathing, pain, urination, mental health, drug treatment.Among them, the cognitive scores of urination, mental health and drug treatment program for the patients after intervention, one month after discharge(4.4±0.62?3.05±0.66?3.06±0.86),and three months after discharge(4.87±0.34?4.38± 0.49?4.28±0.45).There were significant improvements(P<0.01)in the scores of 1 day before discharge(2.69±0.56?1.83±0.76?2.00±1.01).Conclusion Continuous nursing based on Omaha system can reflect the common problems of patients with pituitary adenoma after operation. There are standard interventions and evaluation methods, which can effectively improve the nursing problems of patients and provide reference for continuing nursing practice.
