Objective: To study the difference of needle sensation caused by acupuncture with different thickness and its effect on the clinical efficacy of chronic non-specific low back pain. Methods:In the study,60 patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group was treated with 0.35 mm acupuncture needle and the control group was treated with 0.20 mm acupuncture needle. At the end of treatment, the clinical efficacy was assessed by VAS score,ODI scale,SF-36 scale.Through the scale observe and record the feeling of acupuncture.Result:Baseline analysis: gender, age, course of disease, the time of being educated,VAS score and ODI scale,SF-36 scale were of no statistic significance(P>0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups after the treatment: VAS score,ODI scale and SF-36 scale(P>0.05).In the improvement rate after treatment, the two groups of ODI scale was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the VAS scale was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Comparison in two groups before and after treatment, the contents of VAS scale,ODI scale and SF-36 scale were statistically significant(P <0.05).Follow-up comparison between the two groups:there were no significant differences in VAS score,ODI scale and SF-36 scale(P>0.05).Follow-up comparison in the the control group, the difference at the VAS score was statistically significant(P<0.05)while the ODI scale,SF-36 scale score was not statistically significant(P>0.05).There was no significant difference for the treatment group: VAS score,ODI scale,SF-36 scale score(P>0.05).Compared with the two groups, there was significant difference in the sense of swollen, acid, heavy and pain(P<0.05).In the sense of composition, the sense of swelling and acid are the main component both in two groups. There was a difference between the two groups in the proportion of heavy and numbness. The intensity of the bulge have relationship with acupuncture analgesic effect(P<0.05)and have no relationship with clinical efficacy(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both the two groups can improve the symptoms and life quality of CNSLBP patients, whlie the control group is better than the treatment group in the improvement of dysfunction and pain in long-terms effect.2.The sence of acupuncture was significant difference for two groups.3.The intensity of the bulge have relationship with acupuncture analgesic effect.
