Evaluation Of The Curative Effect Of Niaochangshu Capsule In The Perioperative Period Of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Objective: This thesis mainly explores the effect and the safety of Niaochangshu capsule applied during the perioperative period of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods: 100 cases patients with BPH were observed in this study with random control method,and they were divided into 2 groups,the treatment group(Niaochangshu capsule + TURP)and the control group(TURP alone),50 cases for each group.After the surgery,the author observed the following indicators: bladder rinse duration,the amount of irrigation fluid,the incidence of bladder spasms,the incidence of bleeding again,urinary retention,international prostate symptom score(I-PSS),quality of life assessment(QOL),maximum flow rate(Qmax),and recorded the adverse reaction.Results: the author observed the indicators of the treatment group and the control group 7 days after the surgery: bladder rinse duration,the amount of irrigation fluid,the incidence of bladder spasms,the incidence of bleeding again,and P<0.05;for urinary retention,P>0.05.1 month after the surgery,the author observed the indicators: for I-PSS,QOL and Qmax,P<0.05.The levels of I-PSS,QOL and Qmax in the control group before and after surgery,P <0.01.There were no obvious differences in safety indexes such as routine blood test,routine urine test,routine stool test,liver function,kidney function and electrocardiogram in both groups before and after the treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.the treatment group and control group show significant clinical efficacy in treating BPH,and have a high statistical significance in improving the patients’ I-PSS,QOL score and Qmax.But the comparison of the two groups reflects that,the treatment group is superior to the control group,and it shows a high statistical significance in I-PSS,QOL score and Qmax,bladder irrigation volume,irrigation time,the frequency of cystospasm and the incidence of rebleeding,with better clinical efficacy;Again the incidence of urinary retention was not statistically significant,with the similar clinical results.2.Niaochangshu capsule has better safety;the comparions of each safety indexes before and after treatment shows no statistical significance.3.It provides optimization scheme for the combination of Chinese and western medicine treatment of perioperative period of BPH.
