A Study On The Distribution Of Physique Types And Their Relationship With Immune Function In Children With Recurrent Febrile Seizures

Objective:To explore the correlation among recurrent febrile seizures,TCM constitution types and the T-lymphocytes subgroups and immunoglobulin by investigating recurrent febrile seizures'distribution of TCM constitution types and testing the T-lymphocytes subgroups and immunoglobulin,and then provide a base for prevention of recurrent febrile seizures from TCM constitution angle and immunoregulation.Methods:1.The 1:2 matched case-control study was consisted of case group with 32 cases of recurrent febrile seizures children and control group with 64 cases of children selected at random during the same period who had fever but denied the febrile seizures history.By filling in children TCM constitution questionnaire and analysing the statistical discrepancy of gender,types of seizure and constitution factors in both groups,in the end the significant factors were analyzed with the multifactor conditional Logistic regression analysis.2.On the basis of previous TCM constitution investigation,collect cases again which include 37 cases of recurrent febrile seizures children,divided into SFS group and CFS group according to the type of seizure that inclued 26 cases and 11 cases,and 20 cases of healthy children with gentleness,and then test the T-lymphocytes subgroups and immunoglobulin.Results:1.In the case group,there were significant differences in the levels of gentleness,yang constitution and gender factors(P<0.05);The multifactor conditional Logistic regression analysis showed that:gentleness and gender factor had no correlation of recurrent febrile seizures,but yang constitution had(OR=4.256,95%CI=3.262?44.787).2.The proportion of yang constitution was 45.9%in the case group.The case group's IgA and IgG levels were lower than the control group,there was a significant statistical difference between them(P<0.05).The level of IgG the CFS group was significantly lower than the SFS group(P<0.05).The level of IgM among 4 groups had no statiti cal difference(P>0.05).The level of T-lymphocytes subgroups all had no statitical difference between the SFS group and the control group(P>0.05).The CFS group's CD8+ was higher,but CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ were lower than the control group,there was a significant statistical difference between them(P<0.05).The levels of IgA and IgG of the yang constitution,phlegm and yin deficienncy groups were lower than the control group(P<0.05).The phlegm group's CD8+ was higher,but CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ were lower than the control group,there was a significant statistical difference between them(P<0.05),then CD3+ had no statitical difference between them(P>0.05).The levels of T-lymphocytes subgroups all had no statitical difference among the yang constitution group,the yin deficienncy group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Yang constitution is the risk factor of recurrent febrile seizures.2.The immunologic function of recurrent febrile seizures children is abnormal to a certain degree,CFS is more obvious than SF S.By analysing TCM constitution,yang constitution,phlegm and yin deficienncy ' s immune indexes are abnormity.It is necessary to further study whether the immunoglobulin(IgA,IgG,IgM)and T-lymphocytes(CD3+,CD4 +,CD8 +,CD4+/CD8+)subgroups can be used as an objective index of TCM constitution types.The efficacy of prevention and treatment of febrile convulsion may be improved if we pay more attention to identify TCM constitution,and apply TCM constitution conditioning combined with immunomodulatory drugs.
