Observation Of The Clinical Efficacy Of Renshen Banxia Decoction Combined With Liushen Pills In The Treatment Of Stage ?-? Esophageal Cancer

Objective: To observe the recent efficacy and toxicity of Ginseng-Pinelliae Decoction combined with Liu Shen Pill and Liu Shen Pill for ? and ? stage esophageal cancer.Method: Selected 34 patients with ? and ? stage esophageal cancer were randomly divided into two groups,17 patients in experimental group were administered with “Ginseng-Pinelliae Decoction combined with Liu Shen Pill”,17 patients in control group with “Tegafur Gimeracil Oteracil Potassium Capsule ”alone.After 6 weeks treatment,changes were compared in the tumor size,clinical symptoms,KPS,weight,toxic side effects and immunology indexes between both groups.As the effect of evaluation score to quantify,then the difference was analyzed between both groups according to these indicators by SPSS17.0.Results: This study showed that the experimental group was similar to the control group on the effective and stability aspect,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P>0.05).After treatment,the difference between both groups on the main clinical symptom showed that the experimental group was more effective than the control group.And dysphagia,fullness in chest and tabula,vomiting mucus,poor appetite have statistically significant difference(P<0.05),but belching had no significant difference(P > 0.05)after the experimental group compared with the control group,The Karnofsky score,weight and immunology indexes of the treatment group before and after,was notable different in statistics(P<0.05),but not in the pain,median survival and toxic side effects(P>0.05).Conclusion: Treatment of ? and ? stage esophageal cancer patients with Ginseng-Pinelliae Decoction combined with Liu Shen Pill can improve the clinical symptoms and patients' quality of life,stabilize and increase weight.It also can be used as good selection of treatment for middle and terminal esophageal cancer.
