Clinical Effect Of Tegafur,Gimeracil And Oteracil Potassium Capsules Combined With Docetaxel And Nedaplatin As Induction Chemotherapy Before Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy In Treating High-risk Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Objective:To observe clinical effects of using docetaxel,nedaplatin and tegafur,gimeracil and oteracil potassium capsules as a induction chemotherapy before concurrent chemoradiotherapy in treating newly nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods:We performed a retrospective analysis of fifty eligible patients with high-risk NPC receiving induction improved TPF followed by CCRT(observation group;n = 22)or induction TP followed by CCRT(control group;n = 28)between February 2012 and July 2015.Results:All patients completed the treatment,with good compliance.Clinical effective rate of the observation group was 100%,and the control group also was 100%.But the local control rate of the observation group was 63.6%,which was significantly higher than the control group(32.1%),and the difference was statistically significant(P = 0.027).Main toxic and side effects of patients of two groups were hematologic toxicities,radiative skin reaction and oral mucosa reaction.Differences of incidence rates of type Ⅲ and type Ⅳ of toxic and side effects were not statistically significant(P >0.05).The one-year and two year survival rates of patients of the observation group all were 90.9%,respectively,while the control group was 82.1% and 64.3%;the difference of two-year survival rates between two groups were statistically significant(P = 0.029).Conclusion:Using docetaxel,nedaplatin and docetaxel,nedaplatin and tegafur,gimeracil and oteracil potassium capsules as a induction chemotherapy before concurrent chemoradiotherapy has definite curative effect in treating patients with high-risk nasopharyngeal carcinoma and can improve survival rate of patients,without increasing adverse reaction.
