Development And Assessment Of The TCM Syndrome Scale For Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Objective:According to the basic theories of Chinese medicine and the rules of dialectical thinking,using modern quantitative diagnostic methods and techniques,formulate a TCM syndrome scale for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.In order to establish a set of TCM syndrome differentiation and efficacy evaluation system for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with characteristics of the motherland medicine and moderm medicine.To improve the diagnostic level of syndrome differentiation,embody the advantages and characteristics of TCM syndrome evaluation,and better guide the clinical treatment of TCM.Methods:On the basis of reviewing and collating related documents,a research group was set up.Through research group discussions and expert consultations,a pool of alternative items was established.Scale items were divided into five dimensions according to clinical syndrome characteristics,and a preliminary selection scale was established.A preclinical investigation was conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Clinical data of 186 patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease were collected,an excel database was established,and all clinical data were entered.After statistical analysis methods such as discrete trend method,correlation coefficient method,factor analysis method,etc.,the final screening established the containment of syndromes of stagnation of liver and spleen,syndrome of internal heat and dampness,syndrome of dampness and turbidity,syndrome of stasis and phlegm,and syndrome of spleen and kidney deficiency,32 items of 5 dimensions of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease TCM syndrome scale.Finally,a formal assessment of the formal scale,the assessment mainly from the feasibility,reliability,validity and other aspects,in order to determine the scale of science,practicality and operability.Results:A TCM syndrome scale of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with 32 items in 5 dimensions was developed,including syndromes of stagnation of liver-qi stagnation,deficiency of dampness and heat,internal syndrome of dampness and turbidity,syndrome of stasis and phlegm,and syndrome of spleen and kidney deficiency.Conclusion:Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease syndrome scale accuracy,specificity and sensitivity are better.The scale is operability and repeatability,worthy of further examination and extended to clinical application.
