Background:Osteopontin is provided with regulating the adhesion and migration of macrophages and smooth muscle cells. The formation of coronary artery atherosclerotic plaque in the cardiovascular system has been recognized as a chronic inflammatory disease, mainly responses to various forms of damage to coronary artery wall, caused by excessive inflammatory stimulation.Coronary artery atherosclerotic plaques induced coronary artery wall hardening, lumen narrowing, resulting in a series of clinical symptoms.Current researches on coronary atherosclerosis have been changed from the macro-level down to molecular level, a variety of biochemical markers participate in all stages of the occurrence and development of atherosclerotic plaque. How to forecast and prevent the formation of coronary atherosclerotic plaque had always been hot spots in the field of cardiovascular research, seeking to clinical related factors with actual predictive value for coronary artery atherosclerotic plaque formation is of great significance. Some factors promoting inflammation and hyperplastic lesions of coronary vascular wall may play important roles in early prediction of coronary atherosclerotic lesions and stenosis used by Gensini score.Osteopontin gene is highly expressed in the coronary plaque, which may be involved in the occurrence and development of coronary atherosclerosis. Objective:Probe the relations between plasma OPN levels and coronary atherosclerosis stenosis, including the numbers of lesions vessels and Gensini score,by detecting plasma osteopontin levels. And analyze whether can make plasma OPN as a new type of biological markers in clinical application, through blood tests which can be quantified cheaply and easily, preliminary determine the presence and severity of coronary atherosclerosis, and evaluate the prognosis. Methods:I studied90objects who hospitalized because of chest pain and underwent coronary angiography,by removal of exclusion criteria.According to the results of coronary angiography, divide the objects into coronary heart disease groups (64cases) and non-coronary heart disease Group (26cases).The coronary heart disease Group is divided into single-vessel coronary heart disease Group (21cases),double-vessel Group (17cases)and three-vessel Group (26cases),by pathological changes involving the number of coronary artery. In accordance with Gensini score criteria evaluation of coronary stenosis, divide into<20score of coronary heart disease (18cases),20-40score Group (22cases),?40score Group (24cases).Using ELISA method to determine plasma OPN levels, analyze the expression of plasma OPN among different groups.Result:The plasma OPN levels of coronary heart disease group is obviously higher than that without coronary artery disease Group (P<0.01).As the lesions increases plasma OPN levels has also shown an upward trend, showing plasma OPN levels of three-vessel group, double-vessel group,single-vessel group are different and the differences between the three groups is statistically significant (P<0.05).Plasma OPN levels between different Gensini score group is also on the rise, plasma OPN difference between the three groups is statistically significant too(P<0.05),plasma OPN levels are correct associated with Gensini score, the higher plasma OPN levels, the higher the Gensini score. Conclusion:Plasma OPN levels paiticipate in the occurrence and development of coronary atherosclerotic plaque sclerosis, the changes of their levels are associated with the changes involving the number of coronary artery and the Gensini score. It can reflect and forecast the presence and stenosis extent of coronary atherosclerosis lesion, also to be a clinical prediction index.
