ObjectiveTo investigate the relation between the change of serum IL-21level and otherlaboratory targets by detecting serum IL-21level from patients with Kawasaki disease?KD?and explore the role of IL-21in KD, in order to research KD,s Pathogenesisand supply new method to protect Coronary artery.MethodsThe level of serum IL-21from35acute KD and35Subacute KD patientsdiagnosed according to2002revised International classification criteria for KD and20healthy persons were detected by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA)respectively,we detect the level of IL-21and analyses the result. Meanwhile, correlation analysis between ESR and IgA and the degree of coronary arterydilatational IL-21were detected by Pearson.Results1Compare acute KD and Subacute KD and normal children in the level of serumIL-21: the level of serum IL-21in patient acute KD?172.72±15.53ng/L?andSubacute KD(170.64±16.23ng/L) were obviously higher than that in healthy control(81.58±11.87)ng/L,(P<0.05)? there is not obvious different between patient acuteKD and Subacute KD in IL-21(P>0.05).2Compare the Coronary artery dilatation acute KD and non-Coronary arterydilatational KD?s level of serum IL-21in acute KD and Subacute KD: acute KD andSubacute KD In acute KD and Subacute KD The level of serum IL-21in theCoronary artery dilatation acute KD ?179.07±17.80ng/L? was higher thannon-Coronary artery dilatational KD group?168.49±12.53ng/L?(P<0.05)? there isnot obvious different between Coronary artery dilatation?180.01±16.71?ng/L andnon-Coronary artery dilatational?166.47±16.07?ng/L in Subacute KD?s level ofserum IL-21(P>0.05).3In addition, analyze the relation bwteen the level of serum IL-21level with ESRand IgA in acute KD: the level of serum IL-21level in acute KD patients showed positive correlation with ESR (r=0.621, P<0.05) and IgA level(r=0.502,P<0.05)and the degree of coronary artery dilatation(r=0.583, P<0.05?.Conclusions1The level of serum IL-21in patient KD were obviously higher than that in healthycontrol (P<0.05).2The level of serum IL-21acute KD in the Coronary artery dilatation KD groupwas higher than non-Coronary artery dilatational KD group (P<0.05).3The evident increase of serum IL-21level in KD patients has positive correlationwith the levels of ESR and IgA and the degree of coronary artery dilatation, which suggests that IL-21may play a activity in KD. It takes part in thedevelopment of KD, and is relation to Coronary artery dilatation.
