Modern Museum Design Integrating Regional Culture

With the continuous development of global economy and culture,the cultures of various regions continue to blend,and the regionalism and characteristic of culture gradually decline,the protection and promotion of regional culture is imminent.Museums are the carrier of cultural records and interpretation in all places.Through various exhibitions in museums,the audience can not only understand the cultural context of the city,but also know the unique regional culture.Museums are not only the core of urban culture,but also an important symbol of historical development.Therefore,in the design practice regarding to museums,it is necessary to focus on the exploration of regional cultural characteristics,highlighting the impact of regional culture,thereby empowering museums distinct characteristics.Among all types of museums,the significance of the existence of cultural museums is not only to shape the city's image and reflect its cultural characteristics,but also to shoulder an important responsibility of cultural inheritance.Based on the design research of Nanjing Gaochun Museum,this paper analyzes the research of cultural museum design at home and abroad.Starting from regional culture and combining with a series of relevant literature collections,it focuses on exploring the design concept,design methods and detailed performance of regional culture in the museum through field investigation.Based on the analysis of the design case of Nanjing Gaochun Museum,this paper explores the concept of research on Gaochun's history and culture and its application in museum design.Based on the site selection,environment,spatial arrangement,decorative design and product display design in museum design,it studies how regional culture embodies in the design of Gaochun Museum.
