Airborne cable is the nervous system of the aircraft, which is responsible for transmitting power, transmitting control signals and data information. The electrical environment of the cable system is complex, and its potential failure is the cause of many air crashes. Therefore, the detection of the failure of the entire cable is of great significance for ensuring flight safety. However, when domestic and foreign scholars study fault detection methods, most of them use off-site detection. The cables need to be disassembled. The large size of the detection equipment is not conducive to portability, and the number of cores of the detection cable is fixed, which is not conducive to expansion. The thesis designs a portable airborne cable fault detection system based on ARM processor, which can detect the multi-core cable in situ. The paper proposes a design scheme for a portable cable fault detection system, which uses an ARM processor instead of a PC to graphically display the detection results.Through the cooperation of the system host,sub-machine and relay array board,it can quickly detect the presence or absence of short circuit and open circuit of multi-core cables, and measure the on-resistance and insulation resistance of the cable. The measurement system uses wireless communication to realize the in-situ detection of the cable, and proposes a bus cascading method, which can quickly and infinitely expand the number of cable detection cores. The thesis uses 34401 A digital multimeter and DP832 digital power supply to build the system calibration platform, and calibrate the on-resistance values in the two ranges respectively. The experimental results show that the measurement system measured the resistance value in the range of 0 ?20? and 0 ?1k? The relative errors are less than ± 4%.The two 32-core cables were tested separately, and the relative error of the measurement results was less than ± 4%,and the short circuit and open circuit phenomena could be detected quickly and accurately. The size of the system host is 196mm×133mm×48mm,the weight is 0.847 kg,and the battery life is 4.2h.
