Contemporary Soft Decoration Design Research

This thesis is mainly based on the study of soft decoration design,including the concept and the current development status of soft decoration design,and the current research status in China.The thesis specifically investigates the current soft decoration design style,the pattern of soft decoration furnishings and the application of new materials in soft decoration design.As we know,the current society mainly focuses on developing economy,while the economy development leads to that human is no longer just satisfied with the basic needs,such as food,clothing,housing and transportation.More and more people begin to realize the importance of spiritual life.As an industry which just starts in China,the indoor soft decoration design is constantly recognized by consumers.In addition,indoors is an important place for people's activities,thus the quality of the indoor environment will have a great impact on people's mental state.Secondly,with the constant changes in the taste of the public,people's living environment is not only satisfied with the universal mode of the old times,but the pursuit of richer visual effects and higher levels of spiritual satisfaction.The space environment is required to have both the use value and the spiritual value including cultural context and the atmosphere creation,which reflects the people's emotional needs.In response to this problem,this thesis analyzes the concept of the theme and the application of the theme design in soft decoration.Finally,with the integration of global culture and the impact of foreign culture,people's thought is also more diversified,and more concentrated on emotional performance.This requires that the contemporary soft decoration design should be more emotionally targeted and more explicit in terms of cultural and spiritual expression.Therefore,this thesis analyzes the contemporary human characteristics,and uses this as the theme of design.Starting from the pattern design of the soft decoration furnishings,the thesis analyzes how the thematic features of the space soft decoration can be expressed by the furnishings.This thesis uses literature review,market investigation,case analysis and creation practice as research methods.Based on the understanding of all aspects of the contemporary soft decoration,this thesis analyzes how the theme creation can be expressed in artistic creation,and then expresses the theme soft decoration through the creation practice of soft furnishings.
