With the gradual growth of economy in our country, both the number and the speed of bridge engineering are also constantly improving.Bridge construction process is actually a time-space change process. With the passage of time, the progress of the project is constantly advancing.A lot of construction related information is generated in the process of bridge construction. This information plays an important role in the later operation and maintenance of the bridge,as well as in improving the bridge construction technology and improving the level of bridge construction. Therefore,it is necessary to look back on the construction process,to collect and utilize the spatio-temporal data of bridge construction,to effectively describe and express the relevant information of bridge construction, and to accurately retrospect and query the construction process of bridges after finishing the bridge construction. At present,in the field of bridge engineering, the research on this aspect is relatively inadequate, and the problem of preservation and transmission of construction information is still a major problem plaguing the bridge construction industry in our country; Moreover, the traditional two-dimensional drawings and documents are difficult to express the bridge construction process intuitively, cannot well connect the relevant information in series, and it is also inconvenient to retrospectively inquire the construction history data. Therefore, this paper carries out the research of spatio-temporal data modeling and application method of bridge construction introducing BIM and temporal GIS technology, and with the help of BIM technology visualization, coordination, correlation characteristics and GIS technology data management ability,it can realize the organization, storage and expression of spatio-temporal data of bridge construction history, which has theoretical and practical significance. The main research results are as follows:(1)Summarize and introduce the application of BIM technology in bridge construction field, and study the key points of applying BIM technology in this paper;Expound the feasibility and advantages of the combination of BIM and GIS technology, and study the method of combining the mainstream GIS software with BIM.(2)The concept of temporal GIS is explained, and the temporal-spatial semantics and temporal-spatial change process of bridge construction are analyzed in depth. On this basis, the advantages and disadvantages of the existing mainstream spatial-temporal data models are compared and analyzed.(3)According to the characteristics of spatio-temporal data of bridge construction, the spatio-temporal data model of bridge construction process is designed in this paper, and the organization and expression of spatio-temporal data and the design of spatio-temporal database are carried out.(4)With ArcGIS Pro as the development platform, the plug-in functions related to space-time query are designed and developed in Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 using C# language, and the feasibility of this idea and scheme is verified by practical engineering cases. This paper focuses on the description of the whole construction process of the bridge and the expression of the information generated in the process.Through the research of this paper, the collection, utilization and retrospective inquiry of historical data in bridge construction process are realized, which is conducive to the standardization and development of bridge construction data.It plays a certain role in promoting the data recording and resource expression in the whole life cycle of bridge engineering, and also provides an important data source for the experience accumulation and operation and maintenance stage of later projects.
