Value chain management is a strategic means to effectively manage cost and explore potential customer value.The cost management based on the value chain is based on the multi-angle of view in the business activities of the enterprise,the relationship between the value activities is clear,and the resource consumption which affects the cost in each link of the value chain is brought into the management content.Effective identification of resources related to themselves Management,take targeted measures to maximize the efficiency of enterprise management,control costs,create and maintain a sustained competitive advantage.This paper starts with the theoretical research,adopts the case study method,takes ZHY Corporation as the case,carries on the research to its value chain cost management.This paper first introduces the basic situation of cost management in ZYH Company.As a representative ship enterprise,the problems in this paper can reflect the current situation of cost management in the whole shipbuilding industry.Through the research,it is found that the main problems of ZYH cost management include:high R&D costs,the procurement process cannot be reasonably estimated.and the production activities are not connected in a timely manner.High customer concentration and non-systematic after-sales service and rising human resources costs.Leading to the success of ZYH The main reasons for the problems include:the concept and consciousness of staff cost management is weak,the scope of cost management is small and the goal is short of long-term,and the cost management neglects the information communication and management function between upstream and downstream enterprises.Secondly,this paper analyzes the strategic positioning and strategic cost drivers of the company,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of ZYH's internal value activities,external vertical value activities and horizontal competitors' advantages and disadvantages from the perspective of value chain.Finally,the value chain cost management method is introduced for ZYH Company.The method of Activity-Based cost value coefficient is used to identify the cost controllable points in the internal value activities of ZYH Company.and aim at the cost.Improvement measures are put forward to manage the internal value chain cost,select the best cooperative suppliers and distributors,and manage the external vertical value chain cost.By collecting the intormation of competitors,we find out their own advantages and disadvantages,and actively seek opportunities to establish horizontal alliances to manage the cost of external horizontal value chains.In addition.it puts forward the safeguard measures to implement value chain cost management to promote the further development of ZYH Company.The research shows that the cost management based on the value chain can meet the development needs of the current ZYH company,and the application of the value chain cost management can help it to maintain its long-term competitive advantage and achieve sustainable development,with a view to achieving sustainable development in the current market economy environment.For the same type of enterprises to improve the existing management model fully explore the core competitiveness to provide inspiration.
