With the development of automotive technology,automobiles have been integrated into people's daily life.However,due to environmental pollution and resource exhaustion,people have become more and more strict with the environmental protection and fuel consumption of automobiles.As an important part of the car,the fuel tank has an important significance for the automotive industry.Since the development of plastic fuel tanks,traditional metal fuel tanks have been gradually replaced due to problems such as Riel consumption and safety.The plasticization of automobile fuel tanks has also become an important direction for the development of the automotive industry.Considering the safety of the car in normal driving and sudden accidents,the plastic fuel tank must have sufficient resistance to high pressure,collision and drop to ensure the strength and rigidity of the fuel tank under extreme conditions.This project takes a certain type of plastic fuel tank produced by YAPP Automotive Systems Co.,Ltd.as the research object.Through the combination of test and finite element simulation analysis,the structural performance of the fuel tank and the impact performance of its built-in column are studied.Provide a data base for further research and optimization of fuel tanks.The main research contents of this topic are as follows:Firstly,according to the design criteria of the fuel tank,the fuel tank is tested for static pressure resistance.The stress of the measuring point on the surface of the fuel tank and the built-in column and the deformation of the measuring point on the surface of the fuel tank are obtained.At the same time,according to the resistance strain rosette on the built-in column,the force of the built-in column when the internal pressure of the fuel tank changes is obtained.After the positive and negative pressure cycle test of the fuel tank,it is verified that the structural strength of the fuel tank meets the design requirements.Secondly,the finite element plastic nonlinear analysis theory and the pre-processing process of the fuel tank finite element analysis model in Hypermesh software are briefly introduced.The stress and deformation distribution under the ultimate pressure of the fuel tank is obtained by ABAQUS solution.Comparing the stress and deformation data on the surface of the fuel tank and the built-in column obtained in the static pressure test with the data obtained by finite element analysis to verify the accuracy of the finite element analysis.On this basis,the stress and deformation nephogram of the fuel tank as a whole is obtained,and the plastic strain nephogram of the fuel tank under the extreme positive and negative pressure conditions is obtained.Thirdly,the impacts and collisions of the fuel tank may be subjected to during work is analyzed.According to the impact load of the built-in column,the impact property of the built-in column is studied,and the impact damage energy and maximum impact force of the built-in column under different working conditions are obtained.The critical value of the built-in column under different working conditions is obtained,which provides a basis for the drop test of the niel tank.Finally,The basic concepts of fluid-solid coupling and the corresponding numerical simulation methods and the pre-processing process of the fuel tank drop finite element analysis model are introduced.The solution obtains the maximum plastic strain during the drop of the fuel tank in the two form of the x-direction.It proves that the drop strength of the fuel tank meets the design requirements and obtains the weakest position in the fuel tank drop process.
