Highway Widening Technology Research

With the development of social economy in our country,the roads built in the early days could not meet the needs of society for transportation.The large-scale highways that were built in the early days needed to be upgraded,Many roadbeds must be widened and rebuilt.?During the process of widening and rebuilding the road,due to the consolidation settlement of the old embankment and foundation,the consolidation and subsidence of the subgrade and foundation will occur after the completion of the widening of the embankment and the foundation.This will lead to large differences in deformation between the old and new embankments.,which led to the destruction of the pavement structure,and reduce the stability of the embankment.Regarding the reconstruction and expansion of highways,domestic and foreign scholars have conducted some analysis and theoretical analysis and engineering practice.These achievements have played a certain role in promoting the technology of highway extension and extension,and provide some technical support for the highway subgrade widening project.However,due to the large number of influencing factors that have caused the problem of widening the subgrade,there is no mature construction specification for this purpose.Widening roadbed cracks,deformations,sliding damages and other phenomena still occur from time to time,resulting in widening of the subgrade highway service level is not high,maintenance and repair costs are also high.For this reason,it is necessary to study the widening of roadbed technology.
