Landscape Design Of Kongtong Ancient Town Based On AVC Theory

The topic of this paper is a discussion of the landscape architecture of the Kong Tong ancient town based on the AVC theory.The Kong Tong ancient town is located in the Kong Tong area of Pingliang City,Gansu Province.The construction work started in 2006,with a total area of 300 mu.It is a newly constructed town in the old style which is relied on the National 5A scenic area Kong Tong Mountain,offering supporting service facilities for tourists to Kong Tong Mountain scenic area.The discussion on the landscape architecture of Kong Tong ancient town is guided by the AVC theory,which is the "three aspects" theory proposed by professor Liu Binyi of Tongji University in 2002."Three aspects" refer to the Attraction,Validity and Capacity of a region,or AVC for short.Through building an evaluation system model of land uses,and quantizing the evaluation system,the AVC theory analyzes the present situation of the land uses of the region in order to enhance the region's three aspects,and then transform the region in these three aspects.In this early landscape design of ancient town in the Kong Tong Mountain,it establishes a comprehensive evaluation model of Kong Tong Kong Tong town landscape,guiding by AVC theory.Then,through using comprehensive evaluation model,the status of the town was evaluated,and the results was analyzed quantitatively.According to the existing problems,this paper improved the design of the landscape.For example,clear the using functions of each region while enriching the cultural connotation of ancient town.Moreover,it also shows the spiritual culture to visitors,such as the landscape node of emperor asking road designed to reflect Kong Tong Mountain's harmonious coexistence of three religions,which are Taoism,Buddhism and Confucianism.Based on AVC theory,it makes clear of the direction and emphasis of landscape design of Kong Tong ancient Town,as well as determining the design,aimed to show visitors culture of Kong Tong Mountain and Ping liang folk.Therefore,it better inherits its culture and increases the social cognition of Kong Tong ancient town,so as to make the Kong Tong ancient town playing a constructive role for the future economic development of Pingliang Cit.All above is the problems should be considered and solved.Through landscape design,the capacity planning of the Kong Tong ancient town is carried out,which indirectly protects and promotes the vitality of the ancient town.Ultimately,it increases the attraction of the Kong Tong ancient town.Based on the AVC theory to analyze the present condition of land uses of Kong Tong ancient town,and explore the relationship between the Kong Tong ancient town and the three aspects of the AVC theory,this paper intends to put the theory to practice,so that the landscape architecture of the Kong Tong ancient town will have theoretic bases.I hope through the landscape construction,a Kong Tong ancient town with historical depth and modern flavor will come into being.
