Research On The Development Strategy Of Shenhua Baoshen Railway Company

The twelfth five-year-plan outline is the key to our economic and social development.From now to 2020 is an important period to implement the scientific development concept and building a moderately prosperous society.China's economy will maintain a sustained,healthy and rapid development,while energy is essential to ensure economic and social development.China has abundant coal resources while lacks oil resources.These characteristics of energy resources and China's current stage of economic development both contribute to the dominant role of coal in the domestic energy production and consumption.Distribution of coal resources and industrial layout determine the "North coal south,west coal east" transport pattern.The Ordos City is an important coal production base in China,and is where Shenhua Baoshen Railway Company locates.As the main transport enterprise in Shenhua Group and the coal outward Transport Company in Inner Mongolia,the Shenhua Baoshen Railway Company faces the mission to seize opportunities to better develop itself.Having Shenhua Baoshen Railway as a background,this paper studies issues related to the development strategic choice and strategy implementation of railway enterprise for regional coal.transportation.This paper has important value and practical significance.On the basis of consulting domestic and international strategic management literature,this paper investigates the current situation of transportation and management of Shenhua Baoshen Railway Company and the existing problems are analyzed.The PEST model is used to analyze the company's external environment from the political,economic,social cultural and technical aspects.A "five forces model" is used to analyze the company's competitiveness and competitive position.The "SWOT analysis" is used to study the company's strengths,weaknesses,and the opportunities and threats being faces with.A development strategies of Baoshen Railway is proposed.Specific measures are formulated to achieve corporate strategic objectives.The research results are of great significance on the formulation and implementation of development strategy for Baoshen Railway,hoping to be helpful to the studies of issues related to similar enterprises.
