| The wedding dress is an essential part of the wedding which is the most significantfestival in people’s hearts and records the moment of happiness and wonderful memories.Time tries all things. Wedding dresses, the traditional dresses with a long history both in chinaand abroad, show the enchantment to the newlywed. With the economic development andphysical and spiritual life improvement, people attach more demands to stake hopes on thewedding dress. With the increasing of purchasing power, the wedding dress industry andmarket have grown, but new questions and requests may constantly be raised. What kind ofthe new design of product is the expectation become to the focus of the wedding dressindustry. This paper stresses on the research of creative design of wedding dresses bystudying the wedding dress history and the structure and function of the wedding dresscharacteristics and by analyzing the industry conditions and the future direction ofcontemporary wedding dress design.The author carried out a series of experiments of creativedesign by combining her own design experiences and the works of masters. This paperproposes a new concept of "multi-functional wedding dress", the structural transformation ofthe clothing styles, the traditional dress for three-dimensional structure and the composition ofthe division of innovation in the structure of the wedding dress. This innovative research is anew idea of modern wedding dress and provides a new direction for the wedding dressdesigners and the wedding dress industry practitioners to explore and learn. |
