With the rapid development of our country,the resources of scheelite continue to be consumed,the reserves of scheelite decrease sharply and the situation is severe.In order to meet the increasing demand of scheelite,it is very important to study the processing technology of low-grade and difficult-to-separate scheelite ore.The molybdenum tailing in a factory in Luanchuan is characterized by fine grain size,complex mineral composition and low gra de and valuable scheelite ore.The commonly used scheelite recovery process can not recover this part of scheelite effectively.The purpose of this paper is to find a suitable process to recover scheelite from the tailings.The study of technological mineralogy shows that the average grade of tungsten?WO 3?in the tailings is 0.12%,mainly in the form of scheelite,and other metal minerals are mainly pyrite,pyrrhotite and molybdite.The main gangue minerals are garnet,diopside,quartz,plagioclase,follow ed by talc,fluorite and calcite.It was found that in order to obtain high grade and high recovery Scheelite Concentrate from the tailings,the flotation process was divided into two stages:normal temperature flotation and heating concentration.The flotation test at room temperature shows that fatty acid collector is better than hydroxamic acid collector for tailing and sodium oleate is chosen as collector.Sodium carbonate,sodium hydroxide,calcium oxide three regulator,sodium carbonate is the best.Among the four inhibitors,sodium fluoride,CMC,sodium fluoride and sodium fluorosilicate,sodium fluoride has the best effect.The flotation process of"one roughing,five concentration and one scavenging"was established by flotation test at room temperature.The flotation conditions were as follows:slurry concentration 25%,crude concentration of sodium oleate 2100g/t,sodium carbonate 600g/t,sodium fluoride 800g/t.A scheelite concentrate with a grade of 2.20%and a recovery of 75.65%was obtained when the amount of sodium oleate in the sweep section was 900g/t.The high temperature flotation test shows that the crude concentrate is obtained by normal temperature flotation,the average grade is 2%,the pulp concentration is 70%,the slurry is strongly stirred by adding water glass100kg/t,and the slurry is heated to 95?and treated under the condition of keeping 90min at the temperature of 95?.The scheelite concentrate with grade of 22.34%and recovery of 53.78%was obtained by dilution to 25%concentration,stirring and demedicating for three times and then flotation at room temperature.It can be seen that the normal-temperature flotation test concentrate can be enriched by heating and concentration to obtain high-grade concentrate,which indicates that the white tungsten in the tailings can be recovered successfully by the combined treatment of the normal-temperature flotation process and the heating and selection process.In the overall study of the tailings,it was found that the inhibitory effect of sodium fluoride on gangue was better than that of water glass,so it was assumed that the inhibitory effect of sodium fluoride on talc was different from that of sodium fluoride,and the contra stive test was carried out.A comparative study on the inhibitory effect of sodium fluoride and water glass on talc shows that the inhibition of talc by sodium fluoride andsodium fluoride is poor and the inhibition of talc by sodium fluoride is obvious.
