Epoxy resin is a high performance insulating material,widely used as the thermosetting resin material.It has excellent adhesive properties,small curing shrinkage,good stability and so on.However,it has the disadvantages of cured extended hardness,poor flexibility,poor impact resistance.The mechanical properties of epoxy resin composites are prepared to improve by adding inorganic fillers,curing agent and toughener.Epoxy composites have excellent insulating properties,fire resistance,corrosion resistance,water resistance.The casting busbar applied by the composites is small,compact,high transmission current and stable used in extreme environments.Heat generated in the actual service will affect insulating properties and temperature distribution.The performance studies and simulations are researched to provide a theoretical basis for the composite insulating materials and casting bus used in complex environments.In this paper,epoxy resin base system composites containing inorganic filler,curing agent is prepared.The electrical,mechanical,thermal-based performance of epoxy composites were tested and analyzed.Multi-temperature thermal aging test method was determined.The sample variation of weight loss rate,electrical and mechanical properties was tested.The weight loss rate was selected as a characteristic parameter of life evaluation.Joule heat was calculated by using magnetic field simulation model,and then,temperature field distribution was calculated through the temperature field simulation model.Finally,magnetic field and temperature field simulation results were compared and analyzed.The results show that dielectric constant of composites was 3.44 and had good crack resistance.The thermal conductivity coefficient that was 2.547W·m-1·K-11 had high thermal conductivity,The rated conditions simulation results showed that casting busbar had good heat dispersion,and run a long time securely.Radiant heat and thermal convection is roughly equal.The copper chamfer optimal value under rated conditions was acquired and loss caused by different chamfer didn't exceed 1.5%of magnetic field losses.Under different current conditions busbar temperature field calculation results met temperature requirements,which reflected the busbar had a strong current-carrying capability and higher margin of safe operation.
