A Study On The Images Of Butterflies And Insects In Flower Tapes In The Qing Dynasty

This paper focuses on the analysis and generalization of lepidoptera in the decorative borders of clothes in the Qing Dynasty.It provides an explanation to the cultural connotation for lepidoptera in the Qing Dynasty,and the altering applications of various patterns,forms,colors and images of lepidoptera.Through research,this paper induces and concludes the regularity in the art of lepidoptera pattern and design.At the same time,it extracts the ethnic sense of aesthetics,and explores the subconsciousness of a nation.By the study of lepidoptera pattern,it manifests the influence of western culture and the assimilation of Han-style clothes on and by the Qing Dynasty.Combining the cultural significance of lepidoptera with modern aesthetic demands,it aims to apply the images of lepidoptera in the decorative borders to the manufacturing of fashion and cultural creative products.These newly designed products carrying strong ethnic flavors and cultural innovation would highly promote the development of the national culture,and boost our cultural inheritance.
