In the process of apply squeeze casting technology,the performance of the squeeze casting machine plays a crucial role,so improve the performance of squeeze casting machine has become a important research subject.This paper mainly focuses on the research of the overall design of a 20000kN vertical squeeze casting machine and its clamping unit and injection unit.The specific work contents are as follows:(1)Through the analysis of the process demand,an overall structure design of a 20000kN vertical squeeze casting machine is completed.(2)Analyzed the kinetic characteristics and mechanical properties of clamping unit of 20000kN vertical squeeze casting machine,the functional relationship is made among the cylinder stroke,moving plate stroke,stroke ratio,deformation force,expansion coefficient and cylinder thrust and the structural parameters of the clamping unit,constructed the corresponding mathematical model,and completed the design of the initial structure parameters of the clamping unit.(3)According to the structure and kinetic characteristics of the clamping unit,the design constraints are formulated,and in order to reduce the maximum cylinder thrust and stroke,the four optimization schemes are designed for clamping unit.A parametric model of clamping unit created based on ADAMS,completed the multi-objective optimization for the clamping unit,compared with the original scheme,determine the best optimization solution.(4)Based on SolidWorks and ADAMS,The rigid-flexible coupling model is of clamping unit is created on the basis of the rigid body model,through motion simulation analysis for the clamping unit,it is found that the rigid-flexible coupling model accurately reflects the impact of the clamping unit in the actual situation,in order to slove this problem,an optimized solution is provided for the speed driving of the clamping unit,which ensures the stability and high efficiency of the movement of the clamping unit.(5)The design of the main parameters of the injection unit were completed,and the injection unit numerical model was created based on SolidWorks and ADAMS,the numerical simulation of natural cooling and oil cooling of the punch were carried out for the injection process respectively,obtain the thermal deformation law of the injection unit based on the two modes;according to the simulation results,calculated the reasonable design interval for the gap between the punch and chamber.
