When the rolling linear guide is running,the relative movement of the guide,the slider and the steel ball can cause friction and wear,which can cause the abrasion of the raceway and the steel ball.The state of friction and wear will affect the life,accuracy,friction and vibration of the rolling linear guide,thus affecting the performance of the rolling linear guide.Under certain conditions,the wear mechanism is the same,but the actual friction and wear is often more than one kind of pattern at work,which is the result of comprehensive effect.Therefore,it is of great significance for improving the performance of the guide to investigate the wear mechanism and the wear characteristics of the rolling linear guide.Firstly,the wear characteristics of the rolling linear guide are investigated by scanning electron microscope and Taylor surface interferometer.we use X-ray stress tester,microhardness tester,optical microscope and scanning electron microscope,energy spectrum analyzer to detect the residual stress,hardness gradient,metallographic structure and element distribution of the raceway surface that are in the not-running zone,the acceleration and deceleration zone,the uniform zone,to investigate the change of micro characteristics of raceway of rolling linear guide due to friction and wear.Secondly,scanning electron microscope and white light interferometer are used to extract the main features of the friction and wear of the rolling linear guide to determine the corresponding wear mechanism.The representative wear patterns are analyzed quantitatively.The propagation of cracks at different positions is understood by simulation of accelerated fatigue crack initiation and propagation by extended finite element method.Based on peak contact adhesive wear in Archard wear theory and micro cutting model of abrasive wear mechanism,considering the change of preload and the contact angle between ball and raceway,the wear prediction model of the rolling linear guide under the precision maintenance is preliminarily established.Finally,the friction and wear test of the rolling guide material is carried out on the MMS-2A microcomputer control friction and wear tester,and the variation law of the rolling linear guide under different running speed and different load is studied.According to the structural parameters of the specimen,the test results are used to supplement the parameters of the proportion of adhesive wear and abrasive wear of the wear prediction model of the rolling linear guide under the precision maintenance.A comparison test of precision retention between rolling linear guide at home and abroad is carried out,through the wear mechanism of the rolling linear guide,the vertical accuracy retention test results and the friction test results are analyzed.According to the main parameters of rolling linear guide,the test results are used to supplement the parameters of the proportion of adhesive wear and abrasive wear of the wear prediction model of the rolling linear guide under the precision maintenance.
