The term "model cognition" is listed as one of the core qualities of the chemistry discipline in?the general high school chemistry curriculum standard?issued by the ministry of education.It requires students to build models and use models to solve chemical problems and reveal chemical rules.There are many models in chemistry,and the students' understanding and mastery of the model is closely related to the teacher's understanding and application of the model.As a prospective teacher of the future,pre-service chemistry teachers will be the practitioners of the new curriculum,so it is necessary to study the model cognition ability of pre-service chemistry teachers.That the theory and practice of the study of cognitive model is also less,refer to the related literature at home and abroad is presented in this paper,on the basis of the main to the model,the modeling and model cognitive generalizes the three aspects.On this basis,the concept of model and model cognition is defined,and the connotation,constitutive factors and related performance of model cognitive ability are studied.On the basis of the above theoretical research,the author designed a questionnaire to explore the cognitive ability of the pre-service chemistry teacher model and implemented it.Through the analysis of the questionnaire and the interview method,we can understand the current situation of the cognitive ability of pre-service chemistry teacher model.The results show that:(1)The model cognition ability of pre-service chemistry teachers increased gradually from freshman to junior student,and there was significant difference between grades;(2)Model method can promote the pre-service chemistry teachers to understand the nature of the chemical problem;(3)The pre-service chemistry teachers pay attention to the model method,but lack the ability to use the model and build the model;(4)The overall level of cognitive ability of the model of pre-service chemistry teachers needs to be improved,and there is no significant difference in gender.The measurement and evaluation of students cognitive model not only helps us to understand the current situation of the development of students' ability,in order to model targeted to improve the students' cognitive level,but also provide reference for optimization of normal education.
