Design Research For The Empty-nest Elderly Group Storage Furniture

Frugality is a good habit for the elderly in China,and the "use" and "useless" objects at home can not be discarded.Therefore,the family of the elderly,especially the empty nest elderly family,is filled with various items.As the age of the elderly increases,memory decreases obviously.It is not suitable for the elderly to find out the necessary items in the daily life in the disorderly storage space.Although the living space of many old people is not small,because of the mess of articles,the space that can be used is becoming smaller and smaller.It has become one of the problems that affect the normal living quality of the empty nesters.The study is aimed at the problem,trying to alleviate the empty nest old man's daily necessities by designing and studying the management of the daily necessities of the empty nest elderly.In the fixed functional collection furniture design,the targeted functional design,such as drugs,household physical therapy instruments and other furniture category design is still blank,how to help the elderly in the orderly collection of household appliances,the collection of drugs to achieve a targeted collection,so that various kinds of drugs,health products,and so on have a special special.An orderly space.The study first investigated the daily life form of the empty nest elderly,summed up the behavior characteristics of the empty nest old people.Secondly,it systematically combed,summed up and classified the related essential products,and verified the core requirements of the empty nest elderly.Third,the advantages and pain points of furniture design are analyzed.Fourthly,according to the pain point of present furniture,the principle of targeted design is summed up in view of the behavior characteristics of empty nest elderly,demand characteristics and the demand for daily necessities.Fifthly,through practical design practice,the design principles are verified and the conclusions are put forward.
