The fouling and scaling of the desalination were restricting the extend and development of seawater desalination technology.In this study,polyethersulfone?PES?and graphene were used as the main materials to prepare Sulfonated polyethersulfone/Functionalized graphene?SPES/CSrGO?hybrid membrane with ion exchange function.The morphology chemical component of CSrGO nanosheets and SPES/CSrGO hybrid membrane were characterized by means of FTIR,FE-SEM,AFM,TEM and XPS.Then removal of Ca2+and Mg2+from aqueous solution by this CSrGO and hybrid membrane were studied.The results showed that:?1?The rGO was successfully grafted with-SO3H and-COOH groups,and had good adsorption to Ca2+and Mg2+.The SPES/CSrGO hybrid membrane was successfully prepared by"one-pot method",and CSrGO was uniformly dispersed in the membrane.The hybrid membrane was negatively charged and the surface of membrane was hydrophilic.By further oxidation of the functional body during the membrane preparation process,the content of the sulfonic acid and the carboxylic acid group was increased,and the IEC of the hybrid membrane was increased.?2?The adsorption behavior of Ca2+and Mg2+on CSrGO and hybrid membrane fit both the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Langmuir isotherm model well.The maximum adsorption capacity of Ca2+from the Langmuir isotherm equation reached 100.10 and 82.52 mg/g for CSrGO and hybrid membrane,the adsorption capacity of Mg2+was 84.23 and 74.21 mg/g.The SPES/CSrGO hybrid membrane has a good adsorption capacity for Ca2+and Mg2+and heavy metal ions(Pb2+,Cd2+,Cu2+)through the synergistic action of the ion exchange function and complexing ability of the-SO3H and-COOH groups.Ca2+,Mg2+and heavy metal ions could be removed together.?3?Since the SPES/CSrGO hybrid membrane was negatively charged and the membrane surface was hydrophilic,it has excellent antifouling properties for BSA and HA solution.After three cycles of fouling,the flux recovery rate was above 90%.?4?SPES/CSrGO hybrid membranes still maintain a certain adsorption capacity for calcium and magnesium ions in high salinity solution after pretreatment,and have good anti-fouling performance,which has potential application value in seawater desalination pretreatment system.
