The subject of wastage control in fresh E-commerce industry studied in this paper will bring great significance to the development of this industry.At present,fresh E-commerce is in a period of rapid development,and the potential market space of the industry is huge,however its penetration rate is far lower than that of other E-commerce.Most of fresh E-commerce companies are currently in a loss-making business due to both lagging cold chain logistics and serious wastage happened in operation,Furthermore,the serious wastage factor has become one of the bottlenecks restricting the rapid development of the industry.Reviewing of a large number of reports on fresh E-commerce industry development and domestic and foreign literature on the optimization of fresh E-commerce supply chain and wastage control,with literature research method this paper studies the industry development and existing problems,especially supply chain's current status and problems which impact fresh E-commerce companies' profitability most,and identifies the fresh wastage to be analyzed and proposes solutions to such problems.By analyzing the industry data of the fresh supply chain,and using case analysis method to take the GSH fresh E-commerce enterprise as a specific case,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the roots of wastage,and subdivides the problem of wastage,then selects three key issues to be solved:(1)wastage caused by inventory;(2)wastage caused by non-standardized products;(3)wastage caused by low efficiency.Innovatively formulates corresponding strategies for wastage control purpose:(1)Introducing JIT procurement strategy,reducing inventory through pre-sale,base straight-through,etc.,to control wastage;(2)Introducing non-standard sales strategy to solve wastage caused by uneven sizes of sold products,at the same time based on GSH fresh E-commerce,designing & implementing the information system and introducing suitable ERP system for integration to optimize and upgrade its fresh e-commerce platform,in the manner of piloting the single-category products then gradually expanding to all product categories suitable for the strategy.With comparative analysis,by comparing the fresh wastage data of GSH fresh E-commerce in each process before and after the implementation of the strategy and information system design proposed,and verifying the validity of JIT just-in-time procurement strategy,non-standardized products sales strategy and information system to fresh wastage control,the paper comes to a corresponding conclusion,which provides reference for other fresh E-commerce companies in controlling the problem of fresh wastage.
