Since the State Council issued the”Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Modern Insurance Service Industry"(referred to as "New China Ten Articles")in 2014,the insurance industry has developed rapidly.In 2016,the premium exceeded 3 trillion,and the number of employees exceeded 7 million.At the same time,the main players in the insurance industry are increasing.How can we motivate employees to continuously improve their performance and make them stand out from the competition?This requires the full use of the "baton" of performance management to ensure that the company's strategic objectives can be effectively implemented.At present,each insurance company has its own performance management system.While the industry is developing at a high speed,the performance management system is also undergoing continuous iteration.Taking the GC insurance company as an example,the paper studies the performance management system and uses the interview method to conduct a survey and opinion collection on the performance appraisal of the GC insurance company,and conduct an in-depth analysis of the current performance management problems for the future.Performance reforms propose improvements.I hope to provide reference and reference for the reform of the performance management system of GC insurance companies and peer companies.The paper is divided into five parts,the main contents are summarized as follows:Chapter 1:Introduction.Introduce the research background and significance of this paper,the methods of use and the shortcomings of this paper.Chapter 2:Relevant theory and literature review.Explain the meaning of performance,the classification of performance,the definition of performance management,the links and steps of performance management,and introduce commonly used performance assessment tools,including key performance indicator method(KPI),balanced score method(BSC),360 degree assessment,target and key outcomes(OKR)and so on.Chapter 3:the historical evolution and current situation analysis of GC company performance management system.Briefly introduce the GC life company and organizational structure,focusing on the historical evolution of the company's performance management and the status quo of performance management.Includes different performance tools and performance results.Chapter 4:Interview with GC life performance management.Establish an outline of performance management interviews,and through interviews with the general managers of the companies,understand the opinions and suggestions of management on performance management,reorganize the assessment ideas,and lay a solid foundation for building a new assessment system and forming a new assessment plan.Chapter 5:Optimization of GC life performance management system optimization proposal was proposed,including simplifying the existing assessment tools and creating a new assessment framework.Specifically introduce the different dimensions of the table within the assessment framework,as well as the application of performance results.Chapter 6:Conclusions.Summarize the optimization suggestions and analyze how the optimization suggestions improve the existing performance management problems from different dimensions.
